This project is the final piece of a series of streetscape improvements along Broadway Avenue.
Several improvements along the corridor were identified through a planning process headed by the Department of City Planning. This project, the culmination of that effort, consists of design and construction of the following improvements:
- Realignment of Beechview Avenue to meet Broadway Avenue at a single T-intersection
- Expansion of the existing sidewalk space at the Broadway/Beechview/Hampshire intersection
- Pedestrian and plaza amenities at the intersection
- Pedestrian-scale lighting
- Landscape improvements on both sides of the realigned Beechview Avenue
- Revised signal poles at the intersection
- Other improvements, to be identified through the design process
