The 56th Street Steps provide a pedestrian walkway between Carnegie Street and Celadine Street, improving connections for the residents of Upper Lawrenceville and Stanton Heights while expanding access to transit, retail, and other amenities.

The project begins with gathering data and drafting preliminary designs to determine which enhancements are needed. While engineering can take several years, we aim to provide continuous updates on the progress throughout the design phase.

Opportunities for public comment on the proposed plans will occur during the engineering design.
