The 56th Street Steps provide a pedestrian walkway between Carnegie Street and Celadine Street, improving connections for the residents of Upper Lawrenceville and Stanton Heights and expanding access to transit, retail, and other amenities.

The project is currently in the Preliminary Engineering phase with oversight by PennDOT.

The project begins with data gathering and design to determine what various enhancements are needed. While engineering can take several years, we aim to provide updates on the progress at various points throughout design.
