The replacement of the deteriorated steps from Tole St. to Boustead St. has been successfully completed and the roadway has been reopened.

This project was a collaborative effort between multiple City departments and Baiano Construction Inc., a City contractor. Through this coordination, the DPW Forestry Division was able to clear and grub the hillside adjacent to the steps. This work enabled the installation of a short wall, allowing the steps to be relocated closer to the hillside and constructed on-grade. This revised design smoothed the bend in the previous alignment, significantly improving safety for both pedestrians and vehicle traffic along this narrow roadway. DPW Ironworkers installed steel railing concurrent with construction, minimizing disruptions to the traveling public.
