Duquesne University has submitted a permit application for a new academic building at the corner of Forbes Avenue and Magee Street in the Bluff neighborhood. The building will be at the site of an existing campus parking lot.

The building will be five-stories, or 82 feet above the grade along Forbes Avenue. There will be an open plaza space at the front of the building, 10-foot-wide sidewalks along Forbes Avenue and street trees along Forbes Avenue and Magee Street.

The project will be reviewed by the Department of City Planning against the requirements of the Institutional Master Plan, which can be found on the City’s Institutional Master Plan page.

The project will be reviewed by the Registered Community Organizations in the Bluff neighborhood. A Development Activities Meeting has been scheduled for October 20, 2025.
