Several planned improvements are included in the project area to improved pedestrian safety. This includes a raised crosswalk on the north side of Murray Ave Bridge and intersection improvements such as painted bump-outs, center islands, and flex-posts along the project area.

At Murray and Welfer, the intersection will be updated to include:

• Pedestrian splitter island on Murray Avenue to improve stopping compliance and improve crossing experience
• Curb extensions to daylight intersection and improve visibility for drivers and pedestrians
• Minor revisions to parking
