Overview

Safety improvements continue along North Charles Street. In 2023, traffic calming elements were installed as part of Phase 1 of work between Irwin and Kenn Avenues. Phase 2 work will continue up the hill between Linwood and Perrysville Avenues.

As part of the Fowler Park Master Plan, traffic calming was identified as a primary community concern so that residents and neighbors can enter the park safely by walking or biking. The planned improvements summarized below mimic safety improvements identified in the Fowler Park Plan.
