Construction of the Penn Avenue Rightsizing Project began on Monday October 20 and will continue intermittently over the next 2-3 weeks while construction crews install new lane lines, signage and plastic flex posts. Work will take place Monday through Friday during daytime hours with no long-term closures of the roadway expected. Any time existing travel patterns are revised it can take time or the traveling public to fully adapt to these changes, so motorists are encouraged to exercise patience while traveling in this area during this time period. Temporary “NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN AHEAD” signs have been posted to provide advance notice to motorists. All roadway users are encouraged to treat the street as the work zone that it is and check for parking restriction signage.

The expected completion date for construction is 11/7/2025.
