Project Description
This project includes a complete replacement of the traffic signal at the intersection of Muriel Street at 10th Street in the City of Pittsburgh’s South Side Flats neighborhood. This project is funded through the 2024 City of Pittsburgh capital budget (20%) and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Municipal Signal Partnership Program, also known as “Green-Light-Go” (80%) and will include:
- New strain poles
- Pedestrian countdown signals
- Leading pedestrian intervals
- Accessible pedestrian signals
- 12" LED vehicular signal heads with backplates
- Left turn signalization
- Updated lane configuration
