Construction starts May 20, 2024. The contractor will be in the area for the next few months performing replacing traffic signals at Brighton Road and Jacksonia Street.
We anticipate minor impacts to traffic in this area and no required detours.
Project Description
This project is funded through the 2022 City of Pittsburgh capital budget (20%) and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Municipal Signal Partnership Program, also known as “Green-Light-Go” (80%). It consists of the replacement of the traffic signal at the intersection of Brighton Road and Jacksonia Road, which will include:
- New strain poles
- 12" LED vehicular signal heads with backplates
- Pedestrian countdown signals
- Leading pedestrian intervals
- Accessible pedestrian signals
