In partnership with the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of City Planning, Mayor Ed Gainey has requested a 30-day continuance on the Oakland Crossings Zoning Code Text & Map Amendment in the Oakland Public Realm.

This amendment was introduced by former Mayor William Peduto in September 2021, making the Office of the Mayor the applicant for this project. The continuance has been proposed to provide clarity on the technical language of the amendment and to update the legislative text in a way that promotes equitable development in the City’s zoning code. The Gainey administration plans to devise a path forward by engaging with those affected by this legislation.
