Overview

Bartlett St and Beacon St are City-owned streets between Schenley Park and Frick Park. Currently, Bartlett is a one-way street from Murdoch St to Shady Ave, but this project will add a contra-flow bike lane to create two-way access for people who bike along that portion. On the east end, Beacon St at Beechwood Blvd will receive a bicycle climbing lane to aid slow-moving bicyclists as they climb the hill and connect to Bartlett St. Intersection improvements at Serpentine, Wightman, Murray, Shady and Beacon will aid bicyclists and pedestrians navigating those intersections and calm traffic. The project will also include bump outs to improve sight lines, shared lane markings and wayfinding signage along the corridor.

This project will not affect legal parking spaces on Bartlett St, but will remove a small portion of parking on the east portion of Beacon.
