The Department of Public Works will soon be making improvements at Spring Garden Park / Michael Flynn Field. The existing site included tennis courts and a baseball field, which have fallen into disuse. Past planning reports have noted that, "Spring Garden Park serves only a small area of residences and should be naturalized to function as part of the Greenway even if it is not officially designated as such." That said, we would like residents' input on what should happen with the park so it will best serve the community. Once we collect input, we will assess potential new uses in accordance with neighborhood compatibility, project budget, parking needs, property ownership / easements (for trail), etc. and begin the design process.
