Overview

In 2015 a quick-build safety project at Negley Avenue at Bryant Street was installed to improve the pedestrian crossing. Pavement markings and flexposts were used to daylight the intersection and shorten the pedestrian crossing. This location had high pedestrian generators with bus stops present as well as near the business district on Bryant Street

Planned Improvements

Two of the four quick build curb extensions will be replaced with permanent concrete curb extensions. See diagram below outlining locations. New ADA ramps will be installed along with the curb extensions. All trees at the intersection will be protected.

In addition to curb extensions, this location will be stop controlled to better manage traffic operations and right of way at the intersection. Crosswalks will be refreshed as part of this project as well.

Construction Timeline

Construction will take place in summer 2024 as crew availibility permits.
