On March 2nd, 2026 westbound traffic on North Ave will be detoured from Cedar Ave to Arch St. The detour will remain in place through March 5th, 2026 – 4 days total. This closure will be in place around the clock, enabling the contractor to work longer hours, more days, and dedicate more crews to the work.

This is the second of two detours that were coordinated with the Department of Public Safety and Emergency Medical Services to accelerate project completion, while maintaining critical access for emergency services.

The original plan was for daily detours between 9am and 3pm for approximately 3 months. This update will expedite construction and cut the overall length of the detour by 7-8 weeks.

Local vehicular traffic will be able to cross North Ave at Federal St. and at Arch St.

Westbound drivers will be directed to take the following detour:
Cedar Ave -> right on E. Ohio St. -> right at E Commons -> following Commons -> right at Ridge Ave -> Continuing on W Ohio St. -> right on Brighton Rd.
