A public art project is currently being planned for Beechview. This project will be funded by the City's Percent For Art program.

Project updates and opportunities for engagement will be posted to this page as the project develops.

In the first few months of 2024, prior to determining any project details, the city gathered preliminary input from the community, via online and in-person survey.

A community meeting was held on February 28, in coordination with several local community organizations. At this meeting, the city presented information about this project, and the community had the opportunity to offer feedback and help to determine the goals and scope of the project.

Next, the city will utilize the initial community feedback to create a Call For Artists. Then, working with community representatives, an artist or artist group will be selected for this project.

The artist will then begin their community engagement, information gathering, and concept development for what will eventually become a community-centered public artwork.
