The Opportunity
The redesign of Homewood Park includes a program of new public art projects. Four artists were selected in 2022 following a Request For Proposals released by the City of Pittsburgh. These artists have been engaging in community conversations through 2023 to find inspiration for artworks that speak to the stories and histories of everyone who lives, works, and plays in the neighborhood. Funded by the City of Pittsburgh's Percent For Art program, the total budget for all four works of art is $120,000.
