City Staff, Union Employees, Regional Partners Join Roundtable on Increasing Jobs for Women in Non-Traditional Fields

Friday, March 15, the Mayor’s Deputy Chief of Staff Felicity Williams and partners from across the region participated in a roundtable discussion about how federal, state, local, and nonprofit partners are working to ensure federal investments provided through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and CHIPS and Science Act create high-quality, union jobs for women, especially women of color. They were joined by special guest Deputy Director Gayle Goldin from the Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau.

The roundtable was hosted by United Steelworkers, Congresswoman Summer Lee, and the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau.
