Purpose
Every year, the City of Pittsburgh goes through a budget process where City leaders, with direction and input from our residents, must decide where to allocate resources. Before the budget is approved, members of City Council must approve a proposed budget that determines how much money is spent in each of Pittsburgh's nine districts.
The purpose of conducting budget engagements is to work with City residents to determine what, where, and how the City should allocate resources. This also provides an opportunity for residents to provide their feedback and engage with City staff.
